Just a few years ago Ranier dropped from 200lbs, 33% body fat to 150lbs, 10% body fat and attributes his transformation to CrossFit and sound nutrition. He understands the struggles of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and takes pride in his committment to the success of each of his clients.
Prior to founding Marvelous CrossFit, Ranier Co-Founded CrossFit Burlingame and Fitify Inc. - a Health & Wellness consulting firm that services Fortune 500 companies in the Bay Area. He also played an integral role in creating WOD Unboxed, the popular "Trainer-In-Your-Pocket" CrossFit app featured in the Apple App store for several months.

Matt Marquez | Co-Founder | Head Coach
A loving father, committed husband, and dedicated coach is what best describes Matt. He considers himself an ordinary guy with an extraordinary passion to help everyday people reach their full potential and become the best version of themselves possible. After finding Crossfit in 2010, his love for the sport inevitably grew into his passion and inspired him to seek out as much knowledge as possible to better himself as an athlete and coach.

Maria Achurra | Co-Founder
Maria has been coaching and training leveraging the CrossFit Methodology since 2007.
She draws on her 11-year experience as a competitive ice skater to convey the importance of proper form, technique, and motivation to help her clients break through to the next level. Maria prides herself on being able to serve as an example for her clients through her own intense CrossFit workouts and smart nutritional choices. She is constantly challenging herself to learn and improve both as an athlete and coach; a characteristic many of her clients cite as one of her best assets.

Lauren Young | Co-Founder
Lauren was born in San Francisco and grew up in San Carlos doing gymnastics, soccer, and cross-country. She started her fitness journey back in 2011 when she began experimenting with varying forms of exercise: running, P90X, martial arts, and kick-boxing were all things she tried. Along the way she came across CrossFit where she was instantly hooked and dropped down to 130lbs in short order. She possesses a strong passion for coaching and always carries her clients’ best interests at heart when helping them achieve their goals to live a healthy, happy life.
Looking to be the best she can be in all aspects of life, she cherishes each and every one of her clients and feels blessed to be a part of their fitness journeys. She is featured on the popular iPhone App “WOD Unboxed”, has competed in novice CrossFit competitions, and is working towards obtaining a B.S. in Complementary Alternative Medicine.

Kristine Nono | Co-Founder
In July 2012, Kristine came across an Amazon Local deal for a CrossFit fundamentals course and decided it was the perfect opportunity for her and her mom to bond and jumpstart their fitness journey together. Since then, Kristine’s passion for CrossFit and the CrossFit community has continued to grow.
After earning her CrossFit Level 1 Certification in April 2013, she went on to help co-found Marvelous CrossFit. Kristine continues to learn and grow as by volunteering as an assistant coach at CrossFit Infinitas Edge and visiting other CrossFit boxes whenever she travels. Kristine is continuously inspired by seeing other athletes reach their pinnacle, not only in the area of fitness and health, but also in other aspects of their lives.

Dr. Michael Chin, DPT | Doctor Of Physical Therapy | Director Of Mobility
Dr. Michael Chin discovered his passion for CrossFit in 2011 after his standard cardio and weight lifting workouts left him feeling unmotivated and short of reaching his fitness goals. Accustomed a team atmosphere as a UC-Davis tennis player, the CrossFit community and box environment were very attractive and, more importantly, quickly garnered the fitness results he desired.
Michael has been training athletes since 2008.He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Michael is our Director of Mobility and coaches L1 classes, holds mobility seminars, and practices as a licensed physical therapist at Apex Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine in San Mateo.

Dr. Naroth Nop Mendoza | Doctor Of Chiropractic
Dr. Naroth Mendoza is a graduate of Life Chiropractic College West and has been practicing for several years. Before earning her Doctor of Chiropractic, she attended the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, majoring in Biology.
As a college student, she volunteered her time at health clinics and events promoting healthy living and prevention. As she went on to attain her Doctor of Chiropractic degree, Dr. Mendoza travelled to El Salvador with a selected few from her cohort. Her health philosophy embraces holistic healing modalities, preventive health care and optimal wellness.

Ryan Morales | Coach
Familiar with the struggles of losing weight and living a healthier life, Ryan began his journey back in 2009; weighing in at his heaviest, 200 lbs. Since then, he has dedicated himself to becoming a stronger, healthier individual, all while helping others along the way.
Prior to finding Crossfit, Ryan was an avid runner, participating in multiple marathons and half-marathons. His experience includes: Group X classes through 24 Hour Fitness, TRX / Bootcamps, Personal Training, and Marathon Coaching. Ryan says his greatest achievements are not in being a teacher or coach, but a companion to another’s fitness journey. He combines his past experience with Crossfit methodologies, to help others live stronger in their everyday lives.

Just a few years ago, Gabe fell in love with fitness and in a short period has grown into a dedicated, driven, and passionate coach.
He started his fitness journey in 2010, and has worked consistently to expand his knowledge and hone his craft to provide the best experience possible for his clients. He was introduced to CrossFit in 2012 and has trained at several CrossFit gyms in the Bay Area. His passion to help others and provide them with the knowledge and motivation to succeed makes him a one of a kind coach.

Jean Blomo | Head Of Personal Training
Growing up, Jean enjoyed horseback riding, track and field, and then played on San Jose State University’s women’s rugby team. After graduating, Jean began working for a publisher, where she went from a very active lifestyle to sitting in front of a computer all day. To combat her expanding waistline and diminishing energy, a coworker introduced her to Tae Bo ® Fitness kickboxing and she began running; completing the San Francisco Marathon in 2010.
Jean discovered her true calling to educate and motivate loved ones on their own fitness journeys, so she took a leap of faith and left publishing to be a full-time Personal Trainer at Equinox in San Mateo. In Spring of 2014, she began her own company, Jean Machine Personal Training, and enjoys teaching strength and conditioning fundamentals to a wide variety of clients.
